Corey Thomas

Law Clerk

Corey is a law clerk with StangerLaw LLC. He originally started with the firm as a paralegal. Corey comes to StangerLaw LLC with decades of legal experience. He began his legal career in high school through a “school-to-career” program, which paired him with a local law firm where he worked through high school and college.

Over the years, Corey worked for several small firms in lower Fairfield County, gaining skills in the practice areas of real estate, matrimonial law, estate planning, probate, and collections—all of which have proved to be useful for his future work in civil litigation. Just prior to coming to Stanger Law, Corey spent several years at the Stamford, Connecticut office of a national law firm, where the firm’s practice focused on matters of professional liability/malpractice of attorneys, employers, broker-dealers, and insurance brokers, pending in state and federal courts and before administrative and regulatory agencies.

When Corey is not studying or working, you can find him at one of many local gyms. His other interests include listening to podcasts, buying books and not reading them, linguistics, and NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series. Corey is currently a part-time student at the University of Connecticut School of Law (J.D. expected 2025). He received his bachelor’s degree in Spanish, with a minor in English, from Colgate University (2007).
