Kathleen Czarnota is a paralegal with over 13 years of civil litigation experience. Her background includes supporting attorneys with legal matters involving personal injury, premises liability, product liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, insurance coverage, commercial litigation, employment litigation and transactional matters, environmental defense, fiduciary and probate litigation, sexual abuse defense, administrative law, civil and criminal governmental investigations, business and nonprofit law, legal malpractice and insurance subrogation.

In 2003-2004, Kathleen served as a judicial assistant to the Honorable Alfred V. Covello, Senior United States District Court Judge in the District of Connecticut at Hartford. Prior to entering the legal profession, Kathleen was employed in the insurance industry for over six years. In her career, she has also held support roles assisting both general and special education students in various public school systems within the Greater Hartford area.

Kathleen holds an Associate of Science degree in secretarial science (summa cum laude) from the former Greater Hartford Community College, a Bachelor of Science degree in business management (summa cum laude) from Central Connecticut State University and a Master of Science degree in elementary education from the University of New Haven. In addition, Kathleen earned her paralegal certification from the University of Hartford’s ABA-approved legal studies program. She is a recipient of the University’s West Educational Publishing Award for outstanding scholastic achievement in her legal studies program.

Kathleen is a State of Connecticut–appointed notary public. She has been associated with Stanger Stanfield Law, LLC, since June of 2018.
